Types of anesthesia machine

Air anesthesia machine

The device is portable and applicable, can directly use air and oxygen as carrier gas, can assist breathing and control breathing, to meet various surgical requirements.

The working principle is that after the induction of anesthesia, the patient connects the air anesthesia machine with a closed mask or tracheal tube. When inhaling, the anaesthetic mixture gas enters the patient through the open inspiratory valve; when exhaling, the expiratory valve opens, while the inspiratory valve closes and exhales the exhaled gas. When assisting or controlling breathing, folding bellows can be used. Press down when inhaling and pull up when exhaling to ensure adequate ventilation. At the same time, according to the actual needs, adjust the ether switch to maintain a stable level of anesthesia.

The disadvantage of this device is that the concentration of ether is low, it can only be used as anesthesia maintenance, and the consumption of ether is large, which is easy to cause environmental pollution.

DC anesthesia machine

The direct current anesthesia machine is composed of hyperbaric oxygen, decompressor, flowmeter and evaporator of anesthetic liquid.

Circulating closed anesthesia machine

The device supplies patients with low flow of anesthetic mixture gas and one-way flow through the escape valve (door). Exhaled

The gas enters the CO2 absorber through the expiratory valve and is reused. Its structure is mainly composed of oxygen supply and nitrous oxide device, gas flow meter, evaporator, CO2 absorber, unidirectional valve, respiratory pipeline, escape valve, air bag, etc. Modern anesthesia machine is also equipped with ventilator airway internal pressure, expiratory flow, end-expiratory CO2 concentration, inhalation anesthetic concentration, oxygen concentration monitor, hypoxia alarm and hypoxia-nitrous oxide automatic protection device.
